So are you done, LaVonne? It's beautiful--Yumm!

Margaret, I think this is an intriguing piece. The collage patterns are terrific, and the composition is stronger than the other one. The symbolism that is in the crow man series shows up here too...but it is not as mysterious. Good work! Fran

Hi Jane, I love the beautiful layers of your work. You give the viewer a lot to look at and think about. Thanks for your comments on the Crow Man series. It's my first attempt at a series with a social commentary, which many people do not see. ...

Margaret , i have enjoyed viewing your art work. I was intrigued , especially , by your crow man series. I like the use of symbols and mystery in your work. I use a lot of that in my work also. Look forward to seeing more. Jane Winders Frank

Margaret, thanks for letting me see the new work. The top piece of the two really gets flat and is very well designed. It looses the descriptive, narrative quality of the bottom painting and we see more of "you"...your color choice, your pattern choice. Great job.

Hope all is going well for you this winter.

Margaret, thanks for letting me see the "further adventures of crowman"...I suspect this might be a very powerful series for you, and from what you say about others' reactions, it is thought-provoking to them. Great! I do look forward to seeing where you and Crowman travel together. Series always take us to such interesting and unplanned places. For me, I learn so much about myself when I am working on a series.

I hope you will post these on the ART page for others on this site to see.

Margaret, somehow your note to me got lost in the great internet beyond. Sorry not to have written sooner. I would think that painting patterns while standing at the feet of the subject, so to speak, would be difficult. But it looks like you are making a good try at it.

Let me know how the Crow Man entries go.

Hi, gang. Please check this out... on the Forum tab there is a new Critique Group just for ISS group members. Here's your chance to get informed comments on works you select from others who have been part of the Intensive Studies Seminar.

Ruth,
What a fancy blog you've made! I'd like to know more about the route you took at some point. I see there is definitely more a person can do with a blog than just post.

Hey, Margaret. I just looked at the digitals of your show. Unfortunately, the work was hard to see, but the crowd looked good.

Keep up the good work, and please let us see more of what you are doing as time goes on...

Hi Margaret,
I like you self portrait very much! Did you do it since the workshop or before?
Hey...it was great meeting you. I really enjoyed our conversations and sharing some meals with you.
I've been working pretty well since the workshop. In fact, yesterday I showed a new batch of work to my gallery guy in Bodega (although it was "pre-workshop" stuff). I'm really using a lot of the concepts I focused on during ISS as I work now.
Anyway, hope you're doing well, and I'll let you know when some of my newer work gets posted on my Web site. Take care, Bill.

Fran, I'm glad you mentioned the blog. It got me motivated to update--the first blog entry since I got home. I hope it gets others interested in blogging.
